Do Your Research

It never hurts to research your industry.  What are the current trends? Who are the most successful artists?  Are they doing what you would like to do?  How did they become successful?  These are the kinds of questions that can be answered with research.  Doing research can help you find a path to success.  This would also be the perfect time to find a mentor.  Email someone in your industry and see if they would be willing to answer your questions.  You’d be amazed at how friendly people can be.
